Barbara
Shore , B.A., M.A., CHRA has worked in the area of executive
search for over twenty years, first as Director of the Executive
Search Practice for Peat Marwick in Ottawa and then as Director
of Peat Marwick Stevenson & Kellogg Montreal Executive Search
Practice. Barbara founded Shore & Associates in 1994 as well
as a boutique practice in legal recruitment in 1998 that has conducted
dozens of mandates in specialized areas of law, as well as general
corporate counsel.
In
2001, Barbara again founded a specialized search firm, focused
on recruitment services to the not-for-profit sector .
Both firms represent trend-setting, boutique style firms that
combine the professionalism and rigor of a full, research based
executive search approach, with in-depth sector knowledge and
focus. These firms were industry “firsts” in Quebec .
Barbara
is a committed volunteer and sits on community agency boards.
She also serves as a Mentor to young women at early stages of
their career. She is the Mentoring coordinator for IWF Montreal
chapter and is on the executive committee for the Mentoring Program
for Women MBA students at McGill University .
Barbara

for her ability to understand the nuances of each client’s specific
environment.
Isabelle de Billy, our Senior Researcher, has
worked in recruitment research since 1997, and has demonstrated
the ability to source out very specific candidate profiles through
her rigorous attention to process and her access to a very broad
network of contacts. She was a Corporate Recruiter for Cognicase
for over 6 years. During this period she was responsible
for both internal recruitment as well as the hiring of dozens
of IT consultants and project managers for their business consulting
services. Her tenacity and resourcefulness, coupled with professionalism
and insight, is recognized and appreciated in the industry.
Marie Wong, B.Sc. and a certificate in Human
Resources Management has been a Researcher with Shore &
Associates since 1999. She utilizes traditional search methods
as well as the gamut of new technology-based tools, in order to
identify and attract qualified professionals. She is recognized
for her professionalism and discretion in candidate identification
and her effective representation of client and position requirements.
Marie is also responsible for all the information process and
and liaises with the different suppliers of the firm.
Pearl
Prokosh, joined the legal recruiting division of Shore
& Associates in 2006. She graduated with distinction from
McGill University law school in 2002, where she obtained both
her B.C.L. and LL.B law degrees (Civil and Common law). Upon graduation,
she moved to Los Angeles where, over the span of four years, she
practiced transactional real estate law at two international law
firms and worked on numerous multi-million dollar real estate
acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions as well as
leasing matters, prior to returning to Montreal in 2006. While
working at these two law firms, Pearl participated in the recruitment
interview process of candidates for summer associate and lateral
positions, developing a keen appreciation for the culture and
needs of different international law firms as well as lasting
professional relationships.
Marie-Josée Imbeault, Research Assistant, joined
our office in 2007 and assists with the research phase of our
mandates as well as the maintenance of our databases of contacts
and candidates. Marie-Josée contributes both to the process
strategy of the assignments in addition to the coordination of
the office. She joined us upon working many years as an administrative
assistant in a consultancy firm of Organisational Psychologists.
